Calvin Christian beats Victory Christian Academy for their third straight win

Recap: Calvin Christian Crusaders vs. Victory Christian Academy Knights

The Calvin Christian Crusaders had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 22 points), and they went ahead and made it three on Friday. Everything went their way against Victory Christian Academy as Calvin Christian made off with a 42-22 win. The result was nothing new for Calvin Christian, who have now won five contests by 20 points or more so far this season.

Blake Elders got back to being his usual excellent self, as he rushed for 139 yards and two touchdowns on only 12 carries. The team also got some help courtesy of Cole Souders, who gained 49 total yards and two touchdowns.

Austin Dill and Isaiah Owens, Victory Christian Academy certainly did their best on Friday to try and avoid the loss. Dill threw for 178 yards and three touchdowns, while Owens picked up 129 receiving yards. Owens was no stranger to the big play, cutting upfield for a catch that went for 65 yards.

Calvin Christian is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six matches, which provided a nice bump to their 6-2 record this season. As for Victory Christian Academy, their loss was their fourth straight on the road, which dropped their overall record down to 3-5.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Calvin Christian will take on St. Joseph Academy at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in California (St. Joseph Academy is ranked 14th, while Calvin Christian is ranked 23rd). As for Victory Christian Academy, they will look to defend their home field on Friday against Coastal Academy at 7:00 p.m.
