Football Game Preview: Nutley Maroon Raiders vs. Caldwell Chiefs + How To Watch

The Nutley Maroon Raiders will head out on the road to face off against the Caldwell Chiefs at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Nutley has given up an average of 27.4 points per game this season, but Friday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

On Friday, Nutley had to suffer through a 55-26 loss at the hands of Passaic Valley. The Maroon Raiders haven't had much luck with the Hornets recently, as the team has come up short the last four times they've met.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Caldwell). They took their game on Thursday with ease, bagging a 42-6 victory over Millburn. The final result isn't all that surprising considering the Chiefs' considerable advantage in MaxPreps' New Jersey football rankings (they are ranked 74th, while the Millers are ranked 208th).

Caldwell's win was their first in the league, bumping their league record up to 1-3 and their overall record up to 3-4. As for Nutley, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-4.

Nutley took a serious blow against Caldwell in their previous matchup back in October of 2024, falling 35-7. Can the Maroon Raiders avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
