Baseball Recap: Riverside Takes a Loss

Riverside was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their eighth straight loss. They lost 13-5 to the Oak Hill Red Devils. The Warriors were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Red Devils earlier this season, when they won 9-4.

Kaleb Shanklin made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and earned one RBI, one run, and three stolen bases. The team also got some help courtesy of Caden Lipscomp, who went 1-for-2 with one run and one double.

Riverside's defeat dropped their record down to 7-18. As for Oak Hill, their win ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 7-16.

Looking ahead, Riverside will face off against Sissonville at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Warriors' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Indians have averaged an impressive 6.6 runs per game this season. Oak Hill does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
