Baseball Recap: Calvary Christian Academy Beats Pine Crest for Their Fifth Straight Victory

Calvary Christian Academy extended their postseason success on Thursday against Pine Crest. They walked away with a 5-2 win over the Panthers. This was a revenge game for the Eagles: when they faced off against the Panthers back in March, they had to take a 22-15 loss.

Braden Rosenthal was a major factor no matter where he played. On the mound, he pitched four innings while giving up just two earned runs off six hits. Rosenthal was even better at the plate, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with one home run and two RBI.

In other batting news, Luca Erazo was excellent, going 2-for-3 with one run and one double.

The victory (which was Calvary Christian Academy's fifth in a row) raised their record to 14-9-3. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.6 runs over those games. As for Pine Crest, their defeat dropped their record down to 14-6-2.

As of now, neither Calvary Christian Academy nor the Panthers have any future games scheduled.
