Football Game Preview: Poway Titans vs. Torrey Pines Falcons

The Poway Titans will head out on the road to challenge the Torrey Pines Falcons at 7:15 p.m. on Friday. Poway will be strutting in after a win while Torrey Pines will be coming in after a loss.

Poway was handed a heart-breaking three-point defeat in their last contest, but they sure didn't let that happen against El Camino on Friday. The Titans blew past the Wildcats 52-28. Considering the Titans have won three matchups by more than 23 points this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Meanwhile, Torrey Pines suffered their biggest loss since November 1, 2024 on Friday. They took a blow against Carlsbad, falling 35-3. Perhaps unsurprisingly, the Falcons' biggest loss of the season was also their lowest-scoring.

Torrey Pines has been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-3 record this season. As for Poway, with the victory, they broke their three-game losing streak and moved their record to 3-3.

Poway came up short against Torrey Pines in their previous meeting back in October of 2024, falling 32-25. Can the Titans avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
