Basketball Game Preview: Excel Panthers vs. Clarke County Bulldogs

It was a proper cat-fight when Excel challenged Hillcrest on Friday. Excel was beaten by Hillcrest 69-3. The Panthers were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 40-2.

Meanwhile, Clarke County earned a 36-29 victory over Highland Home on Thursday. Given the Bulldogs' advantage in MaxPreps' Alabama basketball rankings (they are ranked 112th, while the Flying Squadron are ranked 242nd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

The win made it two in a row for Clarke County and bumps their season record up to 6-2. As for Excel, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-12.
