Recap: Klein Cain Hurricanes vs. Tomball Memorial Wildcats
The Klein Cain Hurricanes had to endure a three-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They had just enough and edged Tomball Memorial out 49-47. The victory was just what Klein Cain needed coming off of a 74-30 defeat in their prior matchup.
Tomball Memorial's loss on Friday came despite strong showings from Dasia Hyams and Skylar Kearns. Hyams dropped a double-double on 24 points and 11 rebounds, while Kearns scored 10 points along with 8 rebounds and 4 steals. Hyams continues to roll, besting her previous point total in each of the last three games she's played.
The last time Klein Cain lost on the road was back back in November. Having now won three straight away games, they've pushed their record up to 6-8. That rough patch can't be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 51.0 points per game. As for Tomball Memorial, they now have a losing record at 10-11.
Coincidentally, Klein Cain and Tomball Memorial will both be playing Klein Forest the next time they take the court. Tomball Memorial will head out to face Klein Forest at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, while Klein Cain will host them at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
