Softball Recap: Bigelow Takes a Loss

After flying high against White County Central last Tuesday, Bigelow came back down to earth. The Bigelow Panthers came up short against the Perryville Mustangs on Thursday, falling 17-2. The Panthers have struggled against the Mustangs recently, as the game was their third consecutive lost meetings.

Bigelow saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Hana Staples, who scored a run while going 1-for-1.

Bigelow's defeat dropped their record down to 8-7. As for Perryville, the win keeps them at an undefeated 9-0.

Coming up, a feisty cat fight will be fought as Bigelow Panthers face off against Booneville Bearcats at 4:30 p.m. on March 31st. After both having extra time off, Perryville and Atkins will dust off their jerseys to face off against one another at 4:30 p.m. on April 1st. One thing working in Perryville's favor is that they have posted at least ten runs every time they've taken the field this season.
