Basketball Recap: El Paso Tigers vs. Eastlake Falcons
El Paso couldn't capitalize on their home-court advantage in their season opener. They had to suffer through a 54-20 loss at the hands of the Eastlake Falcons. The Tigers were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Falcons apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in November of 2023.
Despite the loss, El Paso still got an impressive performance from Jasmine Torres, who earned ten points along with eight steals and six rebounds. What's more, Torres also racked up three offensive rebounds, the most she's had since back in December of 2023.
El Paso didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 42-39 defeat against Coronado on the 4th. Eastlake has also already played their next contest, a 39-27 win against Chapin on the 4th.
