Bourbon County added to the longest winning streak in 3A District 5 this week by beating Fleming County, 41-0. The win marks 11th in a row for the the Colonels.
Bourbon County took down the Panthers 41-0 last week, the largest margin of any game. Houston Cox threw for 202 yards and 2 touchdowns during the win.
Estill County's dynamic duo of Trevor Jones and Taylor Tate proved to be unstoppable against Russell, as they were the top passer and receiver in the league this week. Jones threw for 238 yards and 2 touchdowns and Tate had 123 yards receiving. Kris Dennis helped Estill County's passing attack out by catching 1 ball for 50 yards.
Chase Berry made the biggest impact on defense this week as John Hodge's team topped Fleming County. He grabbed 2 sacks.
He was 15-30 with 0 interceptions.
Bourbon County's offense has been unstoppable this season and the Colonels feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Dalton Pope has thrown for 1,353 yards and 19 touchdowns this season, while Snoop Johnson has 31 catches for 765 yards.
Garrard County made the biggest jump in the national rankings this week, rising to 5,124 from 5,528.
