Basketball Game Preview: Roscommon Bucks vs. McBain Ramblers

Roscommon is 0-10 against McBain since March of 2021 but things could change on Monday. The Bucks will face off against the Ramblers at 7:00 p.m.

Roscommon came up short against Beal City on Friday, falling 54-32. While losing is never fun, the Bucks can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Michigan basketball rankings (they are ranked 586th, while the Aggies are ranked 35th).

Even though the team lost, they still had their share of impressive performances. One of the best came from Ethan Douck, who posted 11 points. Jaren Pumford also deserves some recognition as he scored his first points of the season.

Meanwhile, McBain had already won ten in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 23.5 points) and they went ahead and made it 11 on Thursday. They blew past the Wildcats 63-27. The Ramblers have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won nine games by 23 points or more this season.

Roscommon's loss dropped their record down to 2-13. As for McBain, their win bumped their record up to 15-1.

Roscommon took a serious blow against McBain in their previous meeting back in January, falling 79-46. Can the Bucks avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
