Baseball Recap: Rockdale Comes Up Short

Rockdale was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They lost 11-0 to the Franklin Lions. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Lions this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 10-0 last Tuesday.

Rockdale's loss dropped their record down to 7-18. As for Franklin, they pushed their record up to 19-3-1 with the victory, which was their 16th straight on the road dating back to last season.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Rockdale will challenge Thrall at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Franklin, they will face off against Anderson-Shiro at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. The Lions will need to watch out since the Fighting Owls have now posted at least ten runs in their last five games.
