Basketball Game Preview: Viewmont Vikings vs. Woods Cross Wildcats

Two dominant guards in Drezdon Jensen and Hunter Jackson are getting ready to go toe-to-toe. The Viewmont Vikings will be playing in front of their home fans against the Woods Cross Wildcats at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Keep an eye on the score for this one: both posted some lofty point totals in their previous games.

Viewmont will head into Friday's match on the come-up: they were handed a heart-breaking two-point loss in their last game, but they sure didn't let that happen against Box Elder on Friday. Viewmont really took it to Box Elder for the full four quarters, racking up a 75-45 victory. The Vikings pushed the score to 58-38 by the end of the third, a deficit the Bees had little chance of recovering from.

Meanwhile, Woods Cross entered their tilt with Clearfield on Friday with three consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with four. They walked away with a 60-50 win over the Falcons.

Viewmont is also on a roll lately: they've won six of their last eight contests, which provided a nice bump to their 11-9 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 64.3 points per game. As for Woods Cross, their victory bumped their record up to 12-7.

Viewmont was able to grind out a solid win over Woods Cross in their previous meeting back in January, winning 60-53. Will Viewmont repeat their success, or does Woods Cross have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
