Softball Recap: Provo Comes Up Short

If Provo was feeling good fresh off their 21-11 takedown of American Leadership Academy last Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Bulldogs came up short against the Orem Tigers on Tuesday, falling 23-0. The loss continues a trend for the Bulldogs in their meetings with the Tigers: they've now lost seven in a row.

Provo's defeat dropped their record down to 4-12. As for Orem, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 13-8 record this season.

Provo didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next match, a 27-0 loss against Uintah on the 16th. As for Orem, they will face off against Timpanogos at 3:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Tigers' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Timberwolves have averaged an impressive 11.1 runs per game this season.
