Softball Recap: Clovis West Comes Up Short

Clovis West was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They fell 6-3 to the Clovis East Timberwolves. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Timberwolves this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 4-3 back in April.

Madelyn Johnston was cooking despite her team's loss, going 2-for-4 with one triple, one run, and one RBI.

Clovis West's defeat dropped their record down to 17-8. As for Clovis East, their record is now 17-3.

Looking ahead, Clovis West will square off against Buchanan at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Bears will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more runs each matchup than the last. As for Clovis East, they will challenge Clovis at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
