Baseball Recap: Tuesday's Defeat Ends Cascade's Winning Streak

Cascade lost against Sullivan back in May of 2019, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Cadets took a 6-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Golden Arrows. The matchup marked the Cadets' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

TJ Turner was cooking despite his team's loss, going 1-for-3 with one home run. That home run marked the first that he has launched this season.

The defeat snapped Cascade's winning streak at three games and leaves them with a 5-2 record. As for Sullivan, the win (which was their seventh in a row) raised their record to 9-1.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Cascade will square off against Greencastle at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The Cadets' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Tiger Cubs have averaged an impressive 8.7 runs per game this season. As for Sullivan, they will take on Edgewood at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
