Soccer Game Preview: Roosevelt vs. Norco

The Roosevelt Mustangs will challenge the Norco Cougars at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday.

Roosevelt is likely headed into the contest with a focus on the second half, which is when things went downhill against Centennial on Tuesday. Roosevelt fell just short of Centennial by a score of 2-1.

Meanwhile, Norco kept a clean sheet against King on Tuesday. Everything went their way against Wolves as they made off with a 4-0 victory. Given the Cougars' advantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked 61st, while Wolves are ranked 379th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Norco hit King with a three-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Abraham Garcia (2), Alex Cervantes, and Chris Garcia.

The win made it two in a row for Norco and bumps their season record up to 9-2-7. As for Roosevelt, their loss dropped their record down to 8-6-5.

Roosevelt was able to grind out a solid victory over Norco in their previous matchup two weeks ago, winning 3-1. Will Roosevelt repeat their success, or does Norco have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
