Baseball Recap: Nitro Comes Up Short

Nitro started off well but failed to capitalize on an early lead against Winfield. They took a 6-2 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Generals on Thursday. The Wildcats haven't had much luck with the Generals recently, as the team has come up short the last six times they've met.

Nitro's loss dropped their record down to 3-14. As for Winfield, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 16-6.

Nitro didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 5-3 win against Hurricane on the 3rd. As for Winfield, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next match, an 8-0 victory against Riverside on the 2nd.
