Western Albemarle entered their tilt with Albemarle on Thursday with 11 consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with 12. They came within a single set of losing the streak, but they secured a 3-2 W against the Patriots. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 3-2 back in September.

Western Albemarle had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first two sets, they turned around to win the next three. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 24-26, 18-25, 25-18, 25-15, 15-6.

Western Albemarle's victory bumped their record up to 17-4. As for Albemarle, their loss dropped their record down to 11-10.
