Riverside came tearing into Tuesday's match with six straight wins , and they left with even more momentum. They came out on top against the Chardon Hilltoppers by a score of 3-1. That's more bragging rights for the Beavers, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Riverside had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next three. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 24-26, 25-14, 25-21, 25-22.

Riverside's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Marlee Pettine led the charge by getting 15 digs and two aces. Pettine has been hot recently, having posted two or more aces the last three times she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Rylee Kish, who had nine digs.
