Basketball Recap: Cameron Huff's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Newton Falls over Southeast

Newton Falls was the 71-36 winner over Southeast when they last played one another back in January, but their luck changed this time around. The Newton Falls Tigers fell 58-48 to the Southeast Pirates on Tuesday.

Newton Falls lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Cameron Huff, who posted 12 points. Another player making a difference was Landon McGregor, who put up 14 points and six boards.

Newton Falls' loss dropped their record down to 15-6. As for Southeast, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five contests, which provided a nice bump to their 12-9 record this season.

Newton Falls wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 59-57 defeat against LaBrae on the 14th. As for Southeast, they have also already played their next matchup, a 67-46 loss against Crestview on the 14th.
