Soccer Game Preview: Whitehall-Yearling vs. Bishop Hartley

The Whitehall-Yearling Rams will face off against the Bishop Hartley Hawks at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Considering both teams were shutout in their prior games, the pair is probably coming into this one with something to prove.

Whitehall-Yearling came into their game on Wednesday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They came up short against Columbus Academy, falling 10-0. While losing is never fun, Whitehall-Yearling can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Ohio soccer rankings (they are ranked 440th, while Columbus Academy are ranked 78th).

Meanwhile, Bishop Hartley was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They lost 8-0 to Lexington.

Bishop Hartley's loss dropped their record down to 4-10-4. As for Whitehall-Yearling, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-10-1.

Whitehall-Yearling might still be hurting after the 11-0 loss they got from Bishop Hartley in their previous meeting back in October of 2020. Can the Rams avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
