Basketball Recap: Fort Wayne Snider Panthers vs. DeKalb Barons
Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only the Fort Wayne Snider Panthers walked away with it. They blew past the Barons, posting a 66-39 win on the road. Fort Wayne Snider has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 12 matchups by 20 points or more this season.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Fort Wayne Snider to victory, but perhaps none more so than Johnea Donahue, who almost dropped a double-double on 12 points and nine assists. It was the first time this season that Donahue posted eight or more assists. Jordyn Poole was another key contributor, scoring 16 points along with five assists.
Fort Wayne Snider is on a roll lately: they've won 16 of their last 17 games, which provided a nice bump to their 21-2 record this season. As for DeKalb, their defeat dropped their record down to 14-8.
Fort Wayne Snider won't have much time to rest: their next game is against the Chargers at 7:00 p.m. on February 3rd. Carroll will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Indiana Rankings (they are ranked 128th, while the Panthers are ranked fifth). DeKalb does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
