Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Walker Valley walked away with it. They walked away with a 6-3 victory over the Rossview Hawks on Wednesday. Winning may never get old, but the Mustangs sure are getting used to it with their tenth in a row.

Olivia Presswood spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned (and two unearned) runs on seven hits and racked up six Ks. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than two walks in 17 consecutive appearances.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Alyssa Davenport, who went 1-for-2 with one home run, two runs, and one stolen base. Another player making a difference was Brylie Davis, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with two RBI and one double.

Walker Valley pushed their record up to 34-8 with the win, which was their sixth straight at home. The home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.2 runs on average over those games. As for Rossview, their defeat dropped their record down to 11-11.

As of now, neither Walker Valley nor the Hawks have any future games scheduled.
