Football Game Recap: Iroquois West vs. Seneca

Their game last Friday wasn't at all kind to Seneca, but their most recent matchup may have softened the blow. They blew past Iroquois West 42-14.

Seneca got off to a slow start in their last-week game, but they had no such trouble against Iroquois West and cruised to a 26-point first half. Iroquois West countered with 14 points, leaving the score at 26-14 going into the half. The Seneca defense stood its ground in the third quarter, giving up 0 and all but finishing the game. The win got Seneca back to even at 3-3. Iroquois West are still searching for that first win as they fell to 0-6.

Seneca will be playing at home against Watseka at at 7:00 PM next week. Watseka took a loss in their last contest and are no doubt out to reverse Seneca's good fortune. As for Iroquois West, they will face off against Dwight/Gardner-South Wilmington. The squad will be hoping to continue their now three-game streak of scoring more points each contest than the last.
