Soccer Game Preview: Lone Jack vs. Cameron

The Lone Jack Mules will challenge the Cameron Dragons at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Lone Jack is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 3.5 goals per game this season.

Cameron better have a healthy lead at halftime, because if Lone Jack's game on Thursday is any indication, that's when Lone Jack really gets things going. Everything went the Mules' way against Odessa as they made off with a 5-2 victory. Ryley Shull was a massive factor in the win as she booted in four goals all by herself.

Meanwhile, Cameron was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their tenth straight loss. They came up short against Benton, falling 5-1. Things were pretty much settled by the half as Cameron were already down 3-0.

Lone Jack is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-7-1 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 31 goals over those six contests. As for Cameron, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-14.

Lone Jack was able to grind out a solid victory over Cameron when the teams last played back in April of 2023, winning 3-1. Do the Mules have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Dragons turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
