Football Recap: York Institute Comes Up Short on the Road Against Stone Memorial + How To Watch

York Institute had to start their season on the road on Friday, and it wasn't the start they were hoping for. They lost 28-6 to the Stone Memorial Panthers. The Dragons were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Panthers apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in October of 2024.

Noah Potter had an outrageously good game for Stone Memorial as he threw for 167 yards and four TDs while completing 75% of his passes, and also rushed for 63 yards on only six carries. Those four passing touchdowns gave Potter a new career-high. 97 of Potter's passing yards were hauled in by Dylan Phillips, who also brought in two receiving touchdowns.

Coming up, York Institute will square off against White County at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Stone Memorial, they will take on Coalfield at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
