Baseball Recap: Chaminade Finds Home Field Redemption Against St. Mary's

There's no place like home for Chaminade, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Monday. They put the hurt on the St. Mary's Gaels with a sharp 10-1 victory on Tuesday. The Flyers haven't had any issues with the Gaels recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive win against them.

Jack Pfeifer looked comfortable as he pitched 2.1 innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. He has been consistent: he hasn't given up more than one earned run any time he's pitched this season.

At the plate, Collin Anderson was incredible, going 3-for-4 with four RBI, two runs, and one triple. Those four RBI gave him a new career-high. Connor Meehan was another key player, going 2-for-3 with two runs, one triple, and two RBI.

Chaminade's victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 9-10. The home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.0 runs over those games. As for St. Mary's, they are on a 14-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-11.

Chaminade will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Gaels: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 4:15 p.m. on Wednesday.
