Glenbrook South faced New Trier in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Saturday. The Titans took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Trevians. The Titans' loss signaled the end of their six-game winning streak.

Ryann Knuth paced Glenbrook South's offense, picking up eight kills. Knuth got some help from Annie Rosinski and her 12 assists. Grace Niedermaier controlled things from the service line, finishing with two aces.

Glenbrook South's defeat dropped their record down to 25-6. As for New Trier, the win (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 21-8.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Glenbrook South will challenge rival Maine South at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. Meanwhile, New Trier is set to face off against their familiar foe Evanston at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
