Volleyball Recap: Gilbert Takes a Loss

Gilbert lost against Highland two weeks ago and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Tigers came up short against the Hawks, falling 3-0. The Tigers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.

The final score came out to 25-13, 25-11, 25-20.

Kaeli Moreno paced Gilbert's offense, picking up ten kills. Moreno got some help from Olivia Regan and her 12 assists.

Camryn Thruston was the offensive standout of the match as she had 16 digs and four assists.

Gilbert's loss dropped their record down to 10-14. As for Highland, they are on a roll lately: they've won ten of their last 11 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 27-9 record this season.

Gilbert didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 3-2 win against Queen Creek on the 30th. Highland does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
