Soccer Recap: Madison Highland Prep Takes a Loss

While it was all tied up 0-0 at halftime, Madison Highland Prep was not quite Tempe Prep's equal in the second half on Wednesday. They fell just short of the Tempe Prep Knights by a score of 1-0. The Heat were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Knights apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in December of 2023.

This is the second loss in a row for Madison Highland Prep and nudges their season record down to 4-4-1. As for Tempe Prep, the victory (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 10-3.

Madison Highland Prep will challenge Horizon Honors at 3:45 p.m. on Monday. Horizon Honors is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 2.7 goals per game this season. As for Tempe Prep, they didn't take long to hit the pitch again: they've already played their next contest, a 5-1 loss against Arete Prep on the 24th.
