Basketball Recap: Lehman Takes a Loss

Lehman lost against Cedar Park back in January and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Lehman Lobos had to suffer through a 71-27 loss at the hands of the Cedar Park Timberwolves. The Lobos were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 34-6.

Despite the loss, Lehman had strong showings from Lucy Polanco, who went 5 for 12 on her way to 11 points and three steals, and Makila Yanta, who posted four points. Polanco is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last three games she's played.

Lehman has traveled a rocky road recently having lost eight of their last nine contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-9 record this season. As for Cedar Park, their victory was their tenth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 14-3.

Lehman didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 77-37 defeat against Glenn on the 17th. As for Cedar Park, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 52-33 win against Leander on the 17th.
