Volleyball Recap: Pewaukee Comes Up Short

Pewaukee was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They fell 3-1 to the Whitnall Falcons. The Pirates were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Falcons apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in September of 2023.

Pewaukee started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. The match finished with set scores of 12-25, 25-7, 25-20, 25-16.

David Strebe paced Pewaukee's offense, picking up 20 kills. Strebe got some help from Ethan Dalangin and his 34 assists. Jackson Piper controlled things from the service line, finishing with three aces.

Pewaukee's defeat dropped their record down to 6-11. As for Whitnall, they moved to 3-4 with that victory, which also ended their three-game losing streak.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Pewaukee will face off against Waukesha South/North at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Whitnall, they will square off against West Allis Central at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The last three games the Bulldogs have played have been within one set, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.
