Basketball Recap: Worth County Gets the Win

Worth County took a 32-point loss the last time they faced off against Princeton, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. Worth County narrowly escaped with a victory as the team sidled past Princeton 30-27. Among those leading the charge was Kambree Briner, who shot 54% from the field on her way to 16 points and three steals. Those 16 points gave her a new career-high. Megan Tracy was another key player, putting up four points and seven boards.

Princeton lost on Tuesday despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Mary Jane Renfro, who almost dropped a double-double with nine points and ten rebounds. Another player making a difference was Aniston Power, who posted eight points and 11 boards.

Worth County is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-4 record this season. As for Princeton, with the defeat, they broke their nine-game winning streak and moved their record to 10-4.
