Soccer Recap: Wellington Takes a Loss

Wellington was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their seventh straight defeat. They came up short against the Thompson Valley Eagles, falling 10-2. One thing that didn't help Wellington's chances was the red card they were dealt courtesy of Finn Rommel.

Fabian Perez wasn't going to let Thompson Valley walk away unscathed as he scored both of Wellington's goals, bringing his season total up to seven goals.

Wellington's loss dropped their record down to 1-10. As for Thompson Valley, their win ended a six-game drought on the road and puts them at 2-8-2.

Wellington will head out to challenge Mountain View at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Thompson Valley, they will be playing at home against Timnath at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Timnath will roll in looking for their sixth straight victory, something Thompson Valley surely won't give up without a fight.
