Basketball Game Preview: Hardee Wildcats vs. Sebring Blue Streaks

The Hardee Wildcats will take on the Sebring Blue Streaks at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Hardee will be strutting in after a win while Sebring will be coming in after a defeat.

Last Tuesday, Hardee beat Avon Park 48-40. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Wildcats.

Hardee got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Tylia Graham out in front who posted 13 points in addition to eight boards and five steals. Alexandra Jackson was another key player, putting up eight points along with eight steals and five rebounds.

Sebring has been a dominant force so far, but they're in the middle of a mini-slump at the moment. They were dealt a 60-29 loss at the hands of Mulberry on Tuesday.

Hardee will need focus on slowing down Ashlyn Radonski, one of several Sebring players who made an impact when they last played. She scored seven points. The team also got some help courtesy of Ashley Dean, who earned four points and eight boards.

Sebring's defeat dropped their record down to 7-4. As for Hardee, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six matches, which provided a nice bump to their 6-5 record this season.

Rebounding is likely to be a big factor in this contest: Hardee has been smashing the glass this season, having averaged 33.9 rebounds per game. However, it's not like Sebring struggles in that department as they've been averaging 33.8 boards. With both teams battling to corral missed shots, we'll see if one team can grab an edge.
