Jacksonville had already won eight in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 4 goals) and they went ahead and made it nine on Friday. They blew past the Lufkin Panthers 6-0. Considering the Fightin' Indians have won 11 games by more than two goals this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

They hit Lufkin with a three-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Lauren Wade (3), Jewel McCullough (2), and Arely Romero.

Jacksonville pushed their record up to 14-1 with the win, which was their fifth straight at home. The wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only given up zero goals over those five contests. As for Lufkin, they have been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six matches, which has put a noticeable dent in their 3-11 record this season.

Coincidentally, Jacksonville and Lufkin will both be playing Whitehouse the next time they take the pitch. Jacksonville will head out to face Whitehouse at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, while Lufkin will host them at 7:00 p.m. on February 21st.
