Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Redwood). They simply couldn't be stopped on Thursday as they easily beat the Mt. Whitney Pioneers 71-36. The Rangers have beaten the Pioneers the last six times they've met, but they better watch out: this was the closest the Pioneers has come to flipping the script.

Jazmaine Stewart was her usual excellent self, going 9 for 11 on her way to 22 points. She is also on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last four games she's played. Brooklyn Tayo was another key player, putting up 14 points and five rebounds.

Redwood smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 17 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least 17 offensive rebounds in three consecutive matches.

Mt. Whitney lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Ivy Carter, who posted six points.

Redwood's win bumped their record up to 15-13. As for Mt. Whitney, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost eight of their last nine contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 10-12 record this season.

As of now, neither Redwood nor Mt. Whitney have any future games scheduled.
