Volleyball Recap: Gaston Christian's Undefeated Season over After Three Games

Fans were treated to a battle of the Eagles on Friday. Gaston Christian fell just short of Caldwell Academy by a score of 2-1. The loss continues a trend for Gaston Christian in their meetings with Caldwell Academy: they've now lost four in a row.

In a back-and-forth that saw neither team win consecutive sets, Gaston Christian sadly dropped the once that decided the match. The match finished with set scores of 25-20, 17-25, 15-8.

Caldwell Academy can attribute much of their success to Stella Streng, who had ten digs and two aces.

Having lost for the first time this season, Gaston Christian fell to 2-1. As for Caldwell Academy, their win was their eighth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 2-1.
