Softball Recap: Constantine Takes a Loss

Constantine was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat. They lost 16-2 to the Buchanan Bucks. If the Falcons were looking for revenge after losing 9-8 to the Bucks when the teams met back in May of 2025, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Constantine saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Lacey Denman, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one double and one RBI. That RBI marked the first that Denman has brought in this season.

Constantine's loss dropped their record down to 2-9. As for Buchanan, they moved to 8-5 with that victory, which also ended their four-game losing streak.

Looking ahead, Buchanan will take on Michigan Lutheran at 4:15 p.m. on Friday. Constantine will be paying especially close attention to the Bucks' matchup: after the Bucks face off against the Titans, they'll take on Constantine again at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
