 Friday just wasn't the day for Susquenita's offense. They lost  10-0 to the Halifax Wildcats on Friday. Susquenita has not had much luck with Halifax recently, as the team's come up short the last six times they've met.
 Susquenita saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was  Drew Deaven, who  went 1-for-2 with a  stolen base.
 On Halifax's side,  Brandon Schell made a big impact while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he  didn't allow a single  earned run and  only two  hits while striking out 11 over six innings pitched. Schell has been consistent recently: he hasn't  given up  more than two  walks in six consecutive pitching appearances. Schell was also big at the plate,  scoring two  runs and  stealing two bases while  getting on base  in all four of his plate appearances.
 In other batting news,  Isaac Miller and  Will Steinhauer did most of the damage at the plate:  Miller  scored two  runs and  stole a base while going 1-for-4, while  Steinhauer  scored two  runs and  stole two bases while  getting on base  in two of his four plate appearances. Another player making a difference was  Dayton Bittner, who  scored a  run while  getting on base  in three of his four plate appearances.
 Susquenita's defeat dropped their record down to 11-6. As for Halifax, the  win was  the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 16-2.
 Coincidentally,  the pair will both be playing Newport the next time they take the field. Halifax will head out to face Newport at 6:30  p.m.  on Monday, while Susquenita will  host them  at 4:30  p.m.  on Tuesday.
