Softball Recap: Pollok Central Extends Winning Streak to Three

Pollok Central posted their closest victory since February 28th on Tuesday. They had just enough and edged out the Diboll Lumberjacks 4-2. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 7-4 back in March.

The win was the third in a row for Pollok Central, bringing their record up to 17-7-1. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 6.7 runs over those games. As for Diboll, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 8-11.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Pollok Central is set to square off against their familiar foe Central Heights at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Bulldogs 3.3, the Blue Devils 3.5) so any runs scored will be well earned. Meanwhile, Diboll will challenge rival Woodville at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
