Volleyball Recap: Elmwood Park Comes Up Short

Elmwood Park was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Elk Grove Grenadiers. The Tigers were not able to make up for their defeat to the Grenadiers from their previous meeting back in May of 2024.

Elmwood Park may have fallen short, but they were sure consistent: they scored 17 points in every single set they played. The match finished with set scores of 25-17, 25-17.

Marco Sina paced Elmwood Park's offense, picking up four kills. Sina got some help from David Platkowski and his six assists.

Elmwood Park's loss dropped their record down to 8-20. As for Elk Grove, the victory snapped their losing streak at five games and leaves them with a 6-26 record.

Coming up, Elmwood Park will host Fenton at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Elk Grove, they will challenge Wheeling at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
