Baseball Recap: Dominguez Takes a Loss

Dominguez lost against Firebaugh back in March, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Dons fell 6-2 to the Falcons. That's two games in a row now that the Dons have lost by exactly four runs.

Oscar Villa spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered three earned (and three unearned) runs on eight hits and racked up six Ks.

At the plate, Daveon Brim made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 1-for-3 with two runs and one triple.

Dominguez has also traveled a rocky road recently, having lost 11 of their last 13 contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-12-1 record this season. As for Firebaugh, with the victory, they broke their six-game losing streak and moved their record to 4-7.

While Dominguez had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 3:15 p.m. on Friday.
