Recap: Berkeley Springs Indians vs. Hedgesville Eagles
The Berkeley Springs Indians lost against the Hedgesville Eagles back in January, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. Berkeley Springs fell 50-41 to Hedgesville. Berkeley Springs has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Hedgesville got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Maggie Boyer out in front who scored 20 points. Boyer continues to roll, besting her previous point total in each of the last three games she's played. Another player making a difference was Natalie Yates, who dropped a double-double on 15 points and ten rebounds.
Berkeley Springs' defeat dropped their record down to 1-3. As for Hedgesville, the victory for they keeps them at an undefeated 4-0.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Berkeley Springs will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Hampshire at 7:00 p.m. on January 4, 2024. Hedgesville is on the road again on Friday and play against Preston at 7:30 p.m. on December 22nd.
