Football Recap: Hempstead Takes a Loss

Hempstead was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They were beaten by the Yoakum Bulldogs 48-13. The Bobcats were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 45-7.

Hempstead's loss dropped their record down to 1-6. As for Yoakum, they pushed their record up to 6-1 with the win, which was their third straight on the road.

Looking ahead, Hempstead will head out to take on Hitchcock at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Bobcats will need to watch out since the Bulldogs have now posted at least 31 points in their last three games. As for Yoakum, they will be playing at home against Columbus at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Cardinals' defense has only allowed 13.2 points per game this season, so the Bulldogs' offense will have their work cut out for them.
