Westfield lost a heartbreaker the last time they played Clymer/Sherman, but it's fair to say they got their revenge given the result of Wednesday's match. The Wolverines put the hurt on the Wolves with a sharp 8-2 victory on Wednesday. This was a revenge game for the Wolverines: when they faced off against the Wolves back in April, they had to take a 5-3 defeat.

Eva Gnadzinski spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned (and one unearned) run on four hits and racked up six Ks. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than one earned run in three consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Mackenzie Schumaker was excellent, getting on base in three of her four plate appearances with three runs and one triple. Another player making a difference was Avery Smith, who went 1-for-4 with two RBI, one run, and one double.

Westfield now has a winning record of 6-5. As for Clymer/Sherman, their loss dropped their record down to 8-3.

Westfield wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next game, a 14-3 win against Frewsburg on the 15th. As for Clymer/Sherman, they have also already played their next contest, a 3-1 victory against Maple Grove on the 16th.
