The Howards Grove Tigers will take on the Reedsville Panthers at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Both come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Howards Grove is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. They never let Sheboygan Area Lutheran get on the board and left with an 18-0 win on Monday. The Tigers haven't had any issues with the Crusaders recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive victory against them.

Jameson Schmidt was a major factor while hitting and pitching. He kept things locked down with no earned runs or hits while striking out 12 over five innings pitched. Those 12 strikeouts gave him a new career-high. He was also big at the plate, going 1-for-2 with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Braven Wilson, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with one home run, two stolen bases, and three runs. He is becoming a predictor of Howards Grove's success: when he posts at least two stolen bases the team is 2-1 (and 3-17 when he doesn't). Logan Miller was another key player, earning four RBI, three runs, and two stolen bases.
Howards Grove always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .559. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.
Meanwhile, Reedsville had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 8 runs) and they went ahead and made it three on Monday. They walked away with a 6-3 win over the Lancers.
Reedsville's victory was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 13-6. The road wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.8 runs on average over those games. As for Howards Grove, their victory bumped their record up to 5-18.
Howards Grove came out on top in a nail-biter against Reedsville when the teams last played back in April of 2023, sneaking past 4-3. Will the Tigers repeat their success, or do the Panthers have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
