Softball Game Preview: Gabrielino Eagles vs. El Monte Lions

Gabrielino is 0-10 against El Monte since April of 2019 but things could change on Monday. The Eagles will head out on the road to take on the Lions at 3:30 p.m. Neither Gabrielino nor El Monte posted many runs in their last games, so it might be the pitching crews that decide this one.

On Wednesday, Gabrielino didn't have quite enough to beat Glendale and fell 2-1. The Eagles have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Meanwhile, El Monte came up short against Arroyo last Wednesday and fell 5-2.

Naima Rodriguez made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-4 with two doubles, one run, and one RBI.

El Monte's loss dropped their record down to 7-7. As for Gabrielino, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-13.

Gabrielino might still be hurting after the 14-2 loss they got from El Monte in their previous meeting on April 4th. Can the Eagles avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
