Softball Recap: Lincoln Extends Road Winning Streak to Six

Lincoln posted their closest victory since April 13, 2024 on Wednesday. They narrowly escaped with a win as the squad sidled past the Flat Rock Rams 10-9.

The team relied heavily on Autumn Anderson, who went 3-for-5 with one home run, four runs, and two doubles. Taylor Pinter was another key player, going 2-for-4 with three RBI, one run, and one double.

Lincoln was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .447. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .312 or higher every time they've taken the field this season.

Lincoln pushed their record up to 5-2 with the victory, which was their sixth straight on the road dating back to last season. Those road wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.5 runs on average over those games. As for Flat Rock, with the loss, they broke their three-game winning streak and moved their record to 7-9.

Lincoln will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Rams: the pair will be back at it again later today.
